ALEXIS CREGGER
From Winchester, Massachusetts and currently residing in New York City Alexis Cregger has performed with OperaDelaware, Chelsea Opera, Regina Opera, Opera Manhattan, Annapolis Opera, and the Helena Symphony. She has focused primarily on Mozart and bel canto repertoire, in particular the roles of Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Die Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte, and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni for which she was praised by Opera News “Alexis Cregger’s eye-opening Donna Anna sailed through the difficult role with vocal ease and stylistic aplomb, wielding her gleaming soprano like a shining sword of justice”.
This past season she was seen as Konstanze with Opera Theater Montclair, Lucia in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor with Regina Opera and the Staten Island Symphony, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus with Geneva Light Opera, the Drum Majorette in Lisa’s Room: A Dream, a new opera performed with the American Chamber Opera Company in June. This season she reprises the role of Donna Anna with Regina Opera in Brooklyn and with Geneva Light Opera in July ‘17, and is the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Putnam County Chorale in Brewster, NY. She is pleased to be making her debut with Litha Symphony Orchestra in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. |
